Full disclosure: I have been a 'student' of Vedanta since the 70's and find current discussions of consciousness interesting but *usually* lacking the non-local components you mention, as well as the very true statement that the universe is not only "participatory" (Wheeler), but also responsive and equally aware (i.e, conscious).
